Lee is a picturesque and idyllic New England town at the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains. Lee is an ideal group destination with direct access off Interstate Route 90. It is the proud Berkshire Gateway and a portal to the entire region’s cherished cultural venues and beloved landscapes.

Entering the town from any direction one's eyes are dwarn to the quintessential New England white steepled First Congregational Church of Lee. It is a beacon for all who come home to the Berkshires. For the historic church lover, historians of classic New England architecture or the casual observer, this church is an eye catcher. Its 195 foot steeple is the tallest wooden pegged post and beam structure in all of New England. Rich with history, it is 1 of the 20 destinations on the Historic Main Street Walking Tour Map that Lee offers for free at its Information Booth.

Other Main Street sites include the Lee Library, the region’s only Carnegie Library, built in 1909 with Lee marble. There is a sculpture from famed American artist Daniel Chester French and sites, treasures and town history dating back to original purchase of land from the Stockbridge Indians.

Main Street, Lee is home to an enviable and vibrant local business community. Clothing and shoes, antiques, books, bakeries, hats and jewels and more; if you have a gift to give or you just love to shop downtown Lee is not to be missed. Of course if shopping is the fuel for your group’s fire be sure the Lee Premium Outlets is on your itinerary.

Grils At Highlawn FarmLee’s scenic southwest hillsides are home to a herd of Jersey cows and one of the last independent dairy farms in the state. The Appalachian Trail and October Mountain State Forest skirt the eastern part of the town. We’re just minutes to ski mountains, cross country slopes, a variety of hiking trails and lakes and ponds stocked with fish. If your group is looking to add golfing to their Berkshire itinerary, be sure that they play a round at Greenock Country Club , just minutes from downtown Lee. Lee is a naturalist’s dream.

Lee is an unexpected treasure. We have an incredible quality of life, natural assets that nobody else can claim, access to the arts and culture at a world class level and restaurants that range from international to all American to world class to family friendly. While your groups explores Lee they can stop for a delicious pastry and a cup of coffee at Cakewalk Bakery and Café or if they want a chef inspired Berkshire cuisine travel up the street a ways to Perigee Restaurant. Or if its ethnic food they hunger for, be sure to try out Bombay Bar & Grill. Lee is building a robust economy around the amenities that represent all of the best of the Berkshires. We take the business of welcoming groups to our town very seriously.

In the past year the Lee Chamber of Commerce, the largest business supported organization in Lee, has continued to promote and grow the Town of Lee, not only financially, but socially.  We work to support and foster community prosperity. The purposes and objectives of the corporation will be to promote and advance the economic, civic and social welfare of Lee.

Throughout the year the Lee Chamber of Commerce has worked with many non-profit chamber members such as Berkshire South Community Center and the Berkshire Regional Transit Authority, Lee Kiwanis and Tri-Town Rotary.

We have been your collective voice at the Town of Lee Select Board, Planning Board and with the Town Building Inspector on issues such a signage, traffic and special events within the town.
